We dined at this 家家乐-Enjoy House Chinese Restaurant three times and find the food quite affordable and tasty. They have a decent selection of cooked food for you to choose from rice, noodles, cooked vegetables, seafood and different dishes of meat are also available. My favourite was the fried fish, ginger beef, spicy crayfish, shrimp and the crunchy long beans. They even have pickled daikon, cucumber salad, fruits and you can refill hot Chinese tea or lemon water (self service). The seating part is a bit uncomfortable as the space is small and you may need to share the table and sit with strangers on busy days. They have different varieties of authentic cooked food daily except on Tuesday, when they are closed. Overall, it’s good value for money and you can even get frog legs here (I love frogs so I don’t eat them ).
Hidden gem in Calgary! 家家乐 – Enjoy House serves some of the best Chinese noodles I’ve had in a long time. The noodles are perfectly chewy and flavorful, with rich, authentic broths and sauces that taste just like home. Every dish feels freshly made and packed with real Chinese comfort food flavors. Portions are very generous, prices are super reasonable, and the service is always warm and friendly. Whether you’re craving spicy noodles, soup noodles, or classic stir-fried ones, you can’t go wrong here. If you love authentic, delicious, and affordable Chinese noodles, this is the spot! Definitely a go-to noodle place in Calgary.
This place used to be a great snail noodle restaurant back in July. I didn’t get a chance to leave a review then, and now it has turned into a new Chinese buffet — surprisingly at a very reasonable price. It’s $12 for a take-out box and $16 for the adult buffet. The variety of dishes is quite decent for what you pay, especially considering that a single bowl of pho elsewhere can cost about the same or more. The food tastes just like what you’d expect from a good Chinese restaurant in Calgary, and the chef keeps the trays refilled quickly. The only downside is the table arrangement — it can get a bit tight and hard to move around when the place is busy. Overall, it’s a solid 4-star spot for good value and satisfying Chinese food.
